• Hunter S. Thompson, The Kentucky Derby Is Decadent and Depraved
• Brian Reed, S-Town, Chapter 1
• Mark Twain, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, chapters 1-2
• Carys Davies, West

1. For each text, choose one keyword that connects it to the American South,
2. Chose the two texts that show the most different versions fo the south. Discuss how they connect.
